A Private Chef in Barton Hills, Austin — Built for How You Actually Live
Barton Hills attracts a specific kind of Austin resident: outdoorsy, health-minded, and genuinely busy. Between Barton Creek Greenbelt access, the proximity to downtown, and the mix of young who it's for and established professionals, it's a neighborhood where people value their time — and their food. A lot of our Barton Hills clients come to us after one too many Sunday afternoons lost to grocery runs and meal prep service that ate into the weekend they were trying to protect.
EatsByATX is an in-home personal chef service. We come to your kitchen, cook real food from scratch, and leave everything portioned, labeled, and ready for your week. No delivery containers, no reheating mystery meals — just fresh, made-in-your-home cooking.
What Bookings in This Neighborhood Typically Look Like
Most Barton Hills clients book us for weekly or bi-weekly meal prep sessions. A typical session covers 3–4 menu items, each portioned into four servings, giving a household of two a full week of lunches and dinners without the daily cooking grind. Families with kids often add a snack to the session — think protein bites, a grain salad, or something the kids will actually eat after school.
We also see a fair number of dinner party and special occasion bookings here, especially heading into Austin's cooler months when people actually want to entertain at home again. If that's what you're after, our in-home dinner party service is worth a look.
Straightforward Pricing, No Surprises
Our meal prep sessions are priced simply:
- 3 menu items (12 servings total): $350 per session
- 4 menu items (16 servings total): $440 per session
- Snack add-on: $55 per snack
Groceries are billed separately at cost — you'll see the actual receipt, nothing marked up. Every other fee is already included in the session price. No contracts, either. If you need to cancel, just give us 7 days' notice; cancellations inside that window carry a $150 fee.
If you want the full breakdown before booking, our pricing page has everything laid out clearly.
Good Food Shouldn't Be a Part-Time Job
Barton Hills is one of those Austin neighborhoods where people move specifically to have a better quality of life — more time outside, more time with family, less time grinding through tasks that don't need to be yours. Cooking every night doesn't have to be one of them.
When you're ready to hand that off to someone who actually loves doing it, reach out and we'll get something on the calendar.
